Anthropic adds mod support to Claude Code
Developers can now customize Claude Code's interface, behavior, and features using TypeScript plugins installed directly via the CLI or desktop app.
- Mods install via the /plugin command in the CLI or desktop app and can be published to the Claude directory
- Mods execute with the same machine access permissions as Claude Code itself
- Sample mods include Blast Radius to intercept destructive shell commands and Replay Theater to inspect file diffs turn-by-turn
- Token Weather mod tracks context window usage with a sparkline of the last 12 turns
Developers using Claude Code can now customize terminal behaviors, add interface panes, and build custom safety guardrails directly into their coding agent workflows.
