# Mistral x Mozilla: Private, Multilingual AI Browsing

Firefox Smart Window (beta) now uses Mistral models for users in France and North America, operating under zero data retention.

- Smart Window assists with complex searches and sources information across open browser tabs.
- Availability will expand to users in the United Kingdom and Germany later this year.
- Conversations are not stored on Mozilla's servers by default.
- The models are fine-tuned on regional languages, dialects, and cultural context.

## Why it matters

Firefox users in supported regions gain access to an integrated AI assistant that does not retain user conversation data.
