Cursor adds event monitoring and persistent goals to cloud agents
Agents can monitor PRs and Slack threads, run scheduled tasks, and automatically subscribe to PRs they create.
- Any skill can be pinned in chat as a Custom Mode using ⌥⏎ on Mac, Alt+Enter on Windows, or Use as Mode.
- Subagents can run on separate virtual machines, each with an isolated copy of the project.
- Subagents can test parent-agent changes in fresh environments or work simultaneously on independent fixes.
- Steering now waits for the next tool call rather than interrupting an agent mid-action.
- The /goal command gives an agent a long-lived objective to pursue until completion.
Cursor users can delegate event-triggered and long-running development work to agents with less manual supervision and better task isolation.
