Firebird Launches CIS Region’s Largest AI Factory in Armenia
Firebird plans to deploy more than 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs and 300 megawatts of capacity in Armenia by end of 2027.
- NVIDIA intends to invest in Firebird, following an earlier investment by CoreWeave this year.
- The factory was delivered in just over six months in Hrazdan, built on Dell PowerEdge servers and the NVIDIA DSX platform.
- Firebird is pursuing an approximately 2-gigawatt AI infrastructure roadmap across Armenia, Kazakhstan and additional markets.
- Early customer Perplexity is using the infrastructure for its AI agent platform and answer engine.
Developers, startups, enterprises, universities and public institutions in Armenia now have local access to large-scale NVIDIA compute for building and running AI, reducing reliance on AI services abroad.
