Into the Omniverse: How Open World Models Push the Frontier of Physical AI

NVIDIA released Cosmos 3, an open world foundation model family combining vision reasoning, world generation and action prediction, under the OpenMDW 1.1 license.

• Cosmos 3 includes three models: Super (64B), Nano (16B), and Edge (4B) for on-device deployment.
• It ranks No. 1 on Artificial Analysis, PAI-Bench, Physics-IQ, RoboLab, and VANTAGE-Bench benchmarks.
• The OpenMDW 1.1 license lets teams post-train models on their own data and hardware.
• Cosmos 3 Edge runs on NVIDIA RTX GPUs, DGX systems, and Jetson including Jetson Thor platforms.

Robotics, autonomous vehicle, and vision AI developers can now use one open model family for scene understanding, synthetic data generation, and action prediction instead of maintaining separate models.
