The feature uses an Agentic MapReduce framework to search codebases for high-level engineering goals and create pull requests for fixes.
- Runs in four phases: planning rules, sharding code, mapping parallel agents to batches, and reducing results into a prioritized report
- Accepts custom criteria such as coding standards, migration requirements, or accessibility checklists
- Users can initiate investigations by typing /scan in the Devin web application
Devin users can now delegate broad refactoring, performance, or cleanup goals across entire repositories without manually pinpointing where changes are needed.
